A special function was held at Homi Bhabha Auditorium for commemorating the 150 years of Cathedral and John Connon School in Mumbai. This prestigious school was established in 1860.
Indian Postal services department released special stamp on Cathedral and John Connon School and Honorable President of India Smt. Pratibha Patil was present for releasing this stamp.

Government Schools to be Used as Learning Centres
About ninety eight Delhi government schools have been identified by DoE to be utilized like learning centres for children who have not been educated previously.
This information was released to media by P Krishnamurthy who is the Education Director for Schools.
According to a recently implemented act, it has become mandatory to provide education free of cost to children in the age group 6 & 14 years.
